[origin: WO9218676A1] The clamping device consists of a fixed clamping bar (1) and a clamping member movable relatively thereto consisting of a plurality of adjacent clamping components (K1-Kn). The clamping components have a bracket or wing-like clamp (3) which can be pivoted between an insertion and a clamping position into or for the yarn layer (FS). Use for clamping a layer of warp threads, whereby the clamping device is first positioned on one side thereof, whereafter the clamping components (K1-Kn) are placed in the insertion position and pushed through the yarn layer (FS) and finally moved back to clamp the yarn layer.
