Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0535305A1] The invention relates to a straight plastic connector (1) for connecting hollow spacer profiles and hollow glazing-bar profiles of laminated insulating glass, having a flat, elongate body of which one part (2) of its length can be plugged into one spacer profile and the other part (3) of its length can be plugged into the other spacer profile. The surface of the connector is provided with at least one stop element (4) which, when pushing the straight connector into the spacer profiles to be connected to one another, bears against the profile end faces directed towards one another, and is also provided with projections (7) for increasing the frictional force between the surface of the straight connector and the inner wall surface of the profiles. The body of the straight connector has a double-T-shaped cross-section (17), the parallel, horizontal transverse webs (9, 10) of which are connected to one another by a web (8) and are in contact with those inner wall surfaces of the profiles located opposite them. <IMAGE>
