[origin: EP0535431A1] An angle grinder (1) with a disc-shaped abrasive disc (6), having abrasive segments (10) arranged in an annular shape, and with a covering cap (4) for the abrasive disc (6). At least one suction pipe (2) for discharged material opens into the covering cap (4). The abrasive disc (6) is provided with holes (5) which describe a circle when the abrasive disc (6) rotates. The opening (3) of the suction pipe (2) and the holes (5) in the abrasive disc (6) are at least approximately of the same size. The opening (3) is located above the circle which is formed by the holes (5) of the abrasive disc (6) when the abrasive disc (6) rotates. <IMAGE>
