[origin: EP0535504A1] In the case of a method for image transfer onto coated surfaces, in particular those of wood materials, the surface is coated with a polymer layer to be cured and, under the effect of heat, the polymer layer is brought into intimate contact with a transfer medium bearing colour pigments. The polymer layer is in this case composed of polymers of low molecular weight which, after the intimate contact of the polymer layer with the transfer medium, are crosslinked for the curing of the polymer layer. <IMAGE>
