[origin: EP0536492A1] A folded box, preferably made of cardboard, comprises a bottom part (1), a top part (2), a first side part (5) which connects the bottom part (1) to the top part (2) via longitudinal folds (3, 4), a second side part (9) which connects the top part (2) to an edge flap (8) via longitudinal folds (6, 7), lids (12, 13) which adjoin the top part (2) or bottom part (1) on both sides via transverse folds (10, 11), if appropriate closure flaps (16, 17) which adjoin the lids (12, 13) via transverse folds (14, 15), and side flaps (20, 21, 22, 23) which adjoin the side parts (5, 9) via transverse folds (18, 19), and a card part (24) serving for hanging up, the card part (24) having a larger area than the bottom part (1). To reduce the material requirement and to simplify manufacture, the folded box is constructed in such a way that the bottom part (1) adjoins the card part (24) directly via a longitudinal fold (25) and that, in the assembled state, the bottom part (1) is fixed on the card part (24) and the edge flap (8) is fixed on the folded-over bottom part (1). <IMAGE>
