[origin: EP0536517A2] A plastic container formed by thermoforming consists of polyethylene terephthalate which is provided with closed pores and possesses substantially no crystalline portion. With this it is possible, surprisingly, to create plastics containers which are inherently stable with a substantial material saving of up to 40% and can be pressed flat without recovery.
