[origin: WO9115582A2] This invention presents substantially purified rap GAPs (ras proximate guanine triphosphatase activating proteins); and methods for purifying the proteins using either successive chromatographic steps or monoclonal antibodies to the proteins or to the partial amino acid sequences of the protein. The DNA and predicted amino acid sequences of a rap GAP are presented, as well as antibodies against rap GAP and methods for producing such antibodies. Also presented are methods for identifying anti-cancer therapeutics using these rap GAPs.

L'invention porte essentiellement sur des proto-oncogènes purifiés "rap GAP" (protéines activantes triphosphatase guanine proche ras), sur des procédés de purification des protéines soit par étapes chromatographiques successives, soit par traitement à l'aide d'anticorps monoclonaux, soit par séquences amino-acides partielles de la protéine. L'invention porte également sur l'ADN et les séquences amino-acides prévues de tels proto-oncogènes et sur les procédés de production de ces anticoprs. L'invention porte enfin sur des procédés de définition de thérapie anti-cancer mettant en oeuvre ces proto-oncogènes.
