[origin: WO9219131A1] A braking device for drawers with a pull-out rail on the drawer side, a bearing rail (4) on the body side and running rollers (12) between them on either side of the drawer. A rail (5) is secured to the body of the chest. There are two brake shoes (6) movable along the rail (5) in the direction of movement of the drawer which are activated by a stop (7) on the drawer or the body and connected to the rail (5) via a spring (26). The stop (7) moves the brake shoes (6) against the action of the spring.
