Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0537550A1] In the case of a compressed-air gun for applying pasty material, having an outer housing (1) which can be opened on at least one side and has a receiving space (2) for a disposable material pack (3), having a material outlet nozzle (5), corresponding to an outlet tip (4) of the disposable material pack (3), and having a compressed-air connection (6), at which the disposable material pack (3) is provided on the side opposite the outlet tip (4) with a follow-up plunger (9), which can be displaced in the disposable material pack (3) in the direction of the outlet tip (4), pushes the material ahead of it and consequently discharges it from the material outlet nozzle (5), and at which the compressed air from the compressed-air connection (6) is directed onto the side of the follow-up plunger (9) facing away from the material outlet nozzle (5), unproblematical delivery of the material from the disposable material pack (3) is ensured by arranging a thrust plunger (15) in the outer housing (1) on the side of the follow-up plunger (9) facing away from the material outlet nozzle (5) and guiding the said thrust plunger displaceably in a longitudinal guide (16) in the outer housing (1), by the compressed air being directed at the pressure side of the thrust plunger (15), facing away from the follow-up plunger (9), and by the follow-up plunger (9) being advanceable into the correct position by the thrust plunger (15) - moved by compressed air. The pneumatic dead space in this case remains small, since the thrust plunger (15) is designed as a telescopic plunger having two or more telescopic sections (18), which are sealed off from one another, and the front telescopic section (18) forms a closed face on its pressure side. <IMAGE>
