The invention relates to a method for removing dust and dirt particles from large areas by moving a suction pipe over the area, the mouth opening of which suction pipe is held at a distance from the area, preferably essentially parallel thereto, there being formed in front of, possibly also behind, the mouth opening of the suction pipe, from at least two air flows brought together with different speeds at an acute angle, a vortex which guides the suction flow towards the area to be cleaned. The invention also relates to a device for implementing such a method, there projecting from at least one of the longer sides 8 of the essentially rectangular mouth opening 9 of the suction pipe 1 a guide plate 2, the underside 11 of which is preferably concavely curved. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Entfernen von Staub- und Schmutzpartikel von großen Flächen durch Bewegen eines Saugrohres über die Fläche, dessen Einmündungsöffnung von der Fläche beabstandet, vorzugt im wesentlichen parallel zu dieser, gehalten wird, wobei vor, gegebenenfalls auch hinter der Einmündungsöffnung des Saugrohres, eine den Saugstrom gegen die zu reinigende Fläche lenkende Wirbelwalze aus mindestens zwei mit unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten unter einem spitzen Winkel zusammengeführten Luftströmen gebildet wird. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist weiters eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung eines solchen Verfahrens, wobei von mindestens einer der längeren Seiten 8 der im wesentlichen rechteckigen Einmündungsöffnung 9 des Saugrohres 1 ein Leitblech 2 absteht, dessen Unterseite 11 bevorzugt konkav gewölbt ist. <IMAGE>
