[origin: WO9201123A1] The locking component is used to secure the edges of adjacent partition wall plates in which two plasterboard plates (24) are held at a distance apart by cellular transverse ribs (25). The locking component consists of a guide casing (2) which can be inserted into the space between the plasterboard plates (24) and a pressure member (1) guided movably in the casing (2). The pressure member (1) is supported on sprung arms (19, 20) projecting obliquely from the casing (2) and in one end position projects beyond the edge of the plasterboard plates (24). It may be pressed against the force of the spring of the sprung arms (19, 20) into the casing (2) until it is completely beneath the upper edge of the casing and is held in this tensioned position by a retainer spring (22) acting obliquely to the insertion direction. With the built-in locking component, engagement can be released by pushing the retainer spring (22) sideways so that the pressure member (1) thus released can project into the space between the opposite plasterboard plates (24).
