[origin: WO9201102A1] A thread-regulating wheel (101) of a thread-processing system contains a unit (104) which carries a thread supply (105). The unit has extensible and contractible elements which can be adjusted radially by means of adjusting elements (107). The thread-regulating wheel can be controlled by means of a control attachment (113) to which one or more suppliers and/or a textile machine (T) are assigned and generates one or more control signals (i5) for the adjusting elements. The signals originate from the functions of the textile machine, the thread-regulating wheels and the like. When the signal is applied, the adjusting element brings the element (103) to a peripheral size corresponding to the new signal value or signal number. When the peripheral size changes, a thread-isolating function which may be separately controlled is maintained.
