Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0538648A1] The invention relates to a carrying wagon (1) for combined road-rail transport, in particular for wagons which are used in complete train loads or block trains, preferably for transporting semi-trailers (6). According to the invention, there is provision for carrying wagons (1) to be capable of being composed of kits which can be dismantled, the parts of the kit consisting in particular of bogies (2) and lateral members (3) and transverse members (4), which form supports, and brackets (4) which, when combined, form carrying assemblies (5, 5a) which have, on the one hand, receiving and attachment points (7, 8) for the containers to be transported and, on the other hand, contain devices for railway technology, such as, for example, lines, cables and compressed-air containers. At the same time, the transverse members (4) or brackets which can be mounted with the lateral members to form the carrying assemblies are to be capable of being attached at different vertical positions. The weight of the dead mass which is necessary for rail transport is reduced and at the same time technical railway devices remain under the control of the railway company in order to reduce the safety risk. <IMAGE>
