The invention relates to a cartridge for a handgun, according to the precharacterising clause of Claim 1. <??>In order neither to damage nor to destroy the round despite the high-pressure gaseous medium produced during detonation, it is proposed according to the invention to provide between the round and the detonating capsule a chamber for expansion of the gaseous medium which is produced during the detonation process.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Kartusche für eine Handwaffe nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1. Um das Geschoß trotz des bei der Zündung entstehenden gasförmigen Mittels hohen Druckes weder zu beschädigen noch zu zerstören, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, zwischen dem Geschoß und der Zündkapsel eine Kammer zur Expansion des beim Zündvorgang entstehenden gasförmigen Mittels vorzusehen.
