[origin: EP0539771A1] The winding shaft (5, 6), in particular for receiving a cylinder washing cloth (7) of a cylinder washing device in printing machines, has radially acting, elastically deformable clamping elements (15, 16 and 17, 18) which effect a torque-transmitting frictional connection between the winding shaft (5, 6) and the winding sleeve (9, 10) pushed onto the winding shaft (5, 6). The clamping elements (15, 16 and 17, 18) are annular in design and are arranged on the winding shaft (5, 6) between axially pressure-resistant sleeves (19 and 20) which can be clamped with respect to one another and end parts (11, 12 and 13, 14) which are made of rigid material, and can be axially clamped with respect to one another by means of a clamping bar (21 and 22). <IMAGE>
