[origin: EP0539891A2] In a swinging door for containers, consisting of at least one profiled door leaf (I; II) articulatable on the end face of the container and having a gasket (22), and of locking bars (3, 4) held between the inner and outer limiting planes formed by the profiling of the leaf, the door leaf (I; II) is subdivided, as seen from its outside, by a plurality of U-shaped depressions (1, 2) into a plurality of longitudinal zones (11, 12) extending parallel to the locking bars (3, 4), a plurality of C-shaped or U-shaped profiles (13, 14), which extend parallel to and at a distance from one another transversely over the longitudinal zones, being arranged within the inner and the outer limiting planes of the door leaf (I; II). Arranged in the U-shaped depressions (1, 2) are gusset plates (15) with tubular portions (16) which are held thereon and which themselves receive the locking bars (3, 4) as sliding guides. Supporting rings (17, 18) are fastened to the locking bars (3, 4) respectively above and below each tubular portion (16). The additional shape-stabilising effect of the supporting rods (3, 4) substantially increases the dimensional stability of the door leaf, whilst at the same time reducing the door thickness.
