[origin: EP0540080A1] Electrolysis cell for the production of a gas, comprising at least two electrolysis chambers, anodic (2) and cathodic (3) respectively, at least one of which is in communication, at its lower part, with an electrolyte entry conduit (5), and, in its upper part, with an electrolyte degassing chamber (7), arranged above it and provided with an opening (8) for removing gas and an opening (16) for removing electrolyte, an electrolyte recycling conduit (10) connecting the degassing chamber (7) to the entry conduit (5) and comprising a valve (11) which is open or closed depending on whether the pressure downstream (B) of the valve (11) is lower or higher than the pressure upstream (A) of the valve. <IMAGE>
