Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0540093A1] Image tube (10) with electrostatic shutter provided with shutter means (17) between an electron source (12) and focusing and accelerating means (13), an electron stream propagating through a grid of equipotentials in order to form an image on a target (14). The shutter means consist of an annular electrode (17) coinciding with one equipotential. Deflecting means (20) and a sequencer (21) enable a series of small-sized images which are stored temporarily therein to be moved over the target (14). <IMAGE>
