Abstract (en)
To cut workpieces made of plastic, a cutting tool is subjected to a forward movement after the cutting process. In order to ensure that the cutting method is rational, a cutter which oscillates at an ultrasonic frequency is used as a cutting tool and the temperature of the workpiece is, at least in the cutting region of the cutter, locally brought to a level which depends on the thermal behaviour of the plastic in question. <IMAGE>

Zum Schneiden von Werkstücken aus Kunststoffen wird ein Schneidwerkzeug einer dem Schnittverlauf folgenden Vorschubbewegung unterworfen. Um ein rationelles Schneidverfahren zu gewährleisten, wird als Schneidwerkzeug ein mit Ultraschallfrequenz schwingendes Messer eingesetzt und die Temperatur des Werkstückes zumindest im Schneidbereich des Messers örtlich auf einen vom Temperaturverhalten des jeweiligen Kunststoffes abhängigen Wert gebracht. <IMAGE>
