La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'amortissement phonique et vibratoire utilisant des structures unitaires constituées de pneus, de parties de pneus ou d'éléments équivalents sur le plan de la forme et du caractère absorbant du matériau, caractérisé en ce que lesdites structures unitaires (1) sont disposées dans au moins un caisson (C1) incombustible, de manière à délimiter des chambres sourdes élémentaires, ledit caisson comportant une paroi dite "frontale" (6) munie d'ouvertures (7) destinées à être en regard d'une source de bruits.
