Abstract (en)
In an exhaust system of a motor vehicle reciprocating piston engine (12), a smaller presilencer (9) and downstream a larger tail silencer (13) are built into an exhaust line (8). In order to reduce the exhaust back-pressure at high engine load and speed, a bypass pipe (10) controllable by a butterfly valve (11) is laid to the presilencer (9). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Abgasanlage eines Kraftfahrzeug-Hubkolbenmotors (12) sind in einer Abgasleitung (8) ein kleinerer Vorschalldämpfer (9) und stromabwärts ein größerer Endschalldämpfer (13) eingebaut. Um den Abgasgegendruck bei hoher Motorlast und -drehzahl zu senken, ist zum Vorschalldämpfer (9) ein durch eine Drehklappe (11) steuerbares Bypassrohr (10) verlegt. <IMAGE>
