[origin: EP0540981A1] A safety gate 7 is described for an emptying apparatus 3 for emptying refuse containers, which apparatus has at least a first and second gate part 8, 9, the first gate part 9 being moveable into a position of rest and a position of safety. In order to prevent manipulation by the operating personnel and to ensure that actuation of the emptying apparatus 3 is possible only in the position of safety, all operating elements 10 for the emptying apparatus 3 are attached to the first, moveable gate part 9. The first, moveable gate part 9 interacts with the second gate part 8a, b, c, in such a manner that the operating elements 10 for the emptying apparatus 3 are not accessible in the position of rest of the first, moveable gate part 9. In addition at least one switching element 15a, b, c, arranged in a concealed manner, may be provided which is actuatable when the first gate part moves from the position of rest into the position of safety, and conversely, from the gate part 9. The second gate part 9 may be designed as a lateral masking of the emptying apparatus 3. <IMAGE>
