It is intended to create a device for braking the rotary movement of a shaft (1) in the drive system of a high-voltage circuit breaker, which device is of space-saving and simple construction. For this purpose, the shaft has an attachment (2) which is constructed as a gearwheel and has a recess (3), the edges (8, 9) which bound the recess (3) moving past fixed-position stop blocks (12, 13), without touching them, each in one rotation direction. A stop body (7), which is constructed as a crossbar, is displaced on guide rods (8) up to one of the stop blocks (12, 13) in the respectively other rotation direction, by the edges (8, 9). The moving stop body (7) there forms a fixed-position stop for one of the edges (8, 9) of the gearwheel (2), with one of the stop blocks (12, 13). Es soll eine Einrichtung zum Abbremsen der Drehbewegung einer Welle (1) im Antriebssystem eines Hochspannungsschalters geschaffen werden, die platzsparend und einfach aufgebaut ist. Zu diesem Zweck weist die Welle einen als Zahnrad ausgebildeten Ansatz (2) mit einer Ausnehmung (3) auf, wobei die die Ausnehmung (3) begrenzenden Flanken (8,9) an ortsfesten Anschlagblöcken (12,13) in je einer Drehrichtung berührungslos vorbeilaufen. In der jeweils anderen Drehrichtung wird durch die Flanken (8,9) ein als Traverse ausgebildeter Anschlagkörper (7) auf Führungsstangen (8) bis zu einem der Anschlagblöcke (12,13) verschoben. Dort bildet der bewegliche Anschlagkörper (7) mit einem der Anschlagblöcke (12,13) einen ortsfesten Anschlag für eine der Flanken (8,9) des Zahnrades (2). Die Erfindung wird auf dem Gebiet der Hochspannungs-Schaltanlangen angewendet. <IMAGE>
