Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9005773A1] A paste-like phosphate-free detergent which is particularly suitable for washing heavily stained working clothes and which does not produce undesirable froth, contains essentially (A) 1 to 3 wt. % of sodium alkylbenzolsulphonate with linear alkyl chains with 9 to 13 carbon atoms, (B) 14 to 18 wt. % of a saturated primary alcohol with 12 to 15 carbon atoms which is either linear or has methyl chains in the 2-position and which contains 2 to 4 ethylene glycol ether groups, (C) 12 to 16 wt. % of a saturated primary alcohol with 12 to 15 carbon atoms which is either linear or has methyl chains in the 2-position and which contains 6 to 8 ethylene glycol ether groups, (D) 50 to 65 wt. % of sodium silicate of composition Na20:Si02 = 1:0.8 to 1:1.5, (E) 2 to 8 wt. %, referred to the sodium salt, of at least one complexing agent from the class of nitrilotriacetic acid and the polyphosphonic acids, (F) 0.5 to 2.5 wt. % of water-soluble polymers which inhibit greying, (G) 0 to 5 wt. % of other detergent constituents which are neither tensides nor builder and (H) less than 4 wt. % of water. The paste can be introduced into washing machines by means of automatic dispensers.
