[origin: WO9221215A1] A cell-type telephone system having an extended cell, particularly designed to be used in rural areas is provided, comprising a commutation and control unit (CCC) connected to the national telephone network (RNT) and in communication with several cells, each cell being provided with a receiving and retransmitting base radio station (ERB) comprised of a tower and an antenna array, said tower being preferably of great size and constructed on an elevated site and having high power antennas in order to cover a great area, and a plurality of fixed terminal stations (ETF), each said fixed terminal station (ETF) being provided with a high detection power directional antenna coupled to a transreceiver to make out a subscriber's terminal.

Système téléphonique de type cellulaire comportant une cellule à longue portée, conçu notamment pour être utilisé dans des zones rurales, comprenant une unité de commutation et de commande (CCC) reliée au réseau téléphonique national (RNT) et en communication avec plusieurs cellules, chaque cellule étant dotée d'une station radio de base de réception et de retransmission (ERB) composée d'une tour et d'un réseau d'antenne, ladite tour étant de préférence de grande taille, édifiée sur un site élevé, et ayant des antennes de haute puissance permettant de couvrir une zone étendue, ainsi qu'une pluralité de stations terminales fixes (ETF), chacune desdites stations terminales fixes (ETF) étant dotée d'une antenne directionnelle à puissance de détection élevée couplée à un émetteur récepteur afin d'établir une unité de terminaison d'abonné.
