[origin: EP0542070A1] The invention relates to a hybrid yarn made of reinforcing fibres and matrix-forming thermoplastic fibres of low-viscosity polyamide, in which the individual filaments of the two fibre types are mixed, and which is overwrapped with a further polyamide yarn. It also relates to laid fabrics, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, braided fabrics and wound packages of this hybrid yarn and also fibre composite materials prepared by consolidation thereof.
