In the case of a radiant heating element, the temperature sensor (30) of a temperature limiter (29) projects over only a part of the diameter of the heating area (17) in which radiant heating elements (13) are arranged. The temperature sensor is constructed and/or supported such that it exerts a pressure on a holder (44), for example in the form of a projecting stud on the insulating body (7), which stud is arranged, for example, in the centre of the heating element. It thus holds the insulation under a specific pre-stressing pressure and, at the same time, it is prevented from lifting off upwards and coming too close to the heated plate. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Strahlungs-Heizeinheit ragt der Temperaturfühler (30) eines Temperaturbegrenzers (29) nur über einen Teil des Durchmessers des Heizfeldes (17), in dem Strahlungs-Heizkörper (13) angeordnet sind. Der Temperaturfühler ist so ausgebildet und/oder gelagert, daß er einen Druck auf eine Halterung (44), z. B. in Form eines vorstehenden Nockens des Isolierkörpers (7), ausübt, der z. B. in der Mitte des Heizkörpers angeordnet ist. Er hält dadurch die Isolation unter einem gewissen Vorspanndruck und es wird gleichzeitig verhindert, daß er nach oben abhebt und der beheizten Platte zu nahe kommt. <IMAGE>
