The invention relates to a power unit for railway traction units with an electrical drive motor (32), with a transmission (28) and with a main transmission shaft (26) which is constructed as a hollow shaft and acts on a wheel set (24) via a flexible rubber coupling (20), a hollow coupling shaft (10) being provided which serves as carrier of brake surfaces (16, 18) and is connected to the hollow coupling shaft (26) at one end side by means of a coupling (20) and, on the opposite end side, acts on a wheel (22) of the wheel set (24) by means of a further coupling (20). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Antriebseinheit für Schienentriebfahrzeuge mit einem elektrischen Antriebsmotor (32), mit einem Getriebe (28) und mit einer als Hohlwelle ausgebildeten Getriebehauptwelle (26), die über eine Gummigelenkkupplung (20) einen Radsatz (24) beaufschlagt, wobei eine Kupplungshohlwelle (10) vorgesehen ist, die als Träger von Bremsflächen (16, 18) dient und an einer Stirnseite mittels einer Kupplung (20) mit der Kupplungshohlwelle (26) verbunden ist und an der gegenüberliegenden Stirnseite mittels einer weiteren Kupplung (20) ein Rad (22) des Radsatzes (24) beaufschlagt. <IMAGE>
