[origin: WO9202934A1] Integrated circuit memories, and specifically electrically programmable memories, are described. In order to take into account the fact that memory cells can comprise access contact flaws which may become fatal with age, a testing method is provided wherein the cells (TGF1) are read by comparing a reference cell (TGF) current Iref with the sum of the current I of the tested cell and a bias current I'bias which is weaker than current Ibias which is used in modes other than the testing mode (i.e. in normal memory reading mode).

L'invention concerne les mémoires en circuit intégré, et plus spécialement les mémoires électriquement programmables. Pour tenir compte notamment du fait que des cellules de mémoire peuvent comporter des défauts de contacts d'accès qui risquent de devenir rédhibitoires lors du vieillissement, on propose selon l'invention d'effectuer un test de la manière suivante: on lit les cellules (TGF1) par comparaison entre un courant Iref de cellule de référence (TGF) et la somme du courant I de cellule testée et d'un courant de polarisation I'bias; ce courant I'bias est plus faible que le courant Ibias qui est utilisé en dehors du mode de test (en mode de lecture normale de la mémoire).
