Laminoir à six étages, pourvu d'une paire de cylindres de travail supérieur et inférieur, de cylindres intermédiaires et de cylindres d'appui, au moins les cylindres intermédiaires, parmi les cylindres intermédiaires et les cylindres de travail, pouvant être déplacés dans la direction axiale. Les cylindres intermédiaires respectifs présentent des longueurs de corps plus importantes que celles des cylindres d'appui, de sorte que, même dans leurs positions de décalage maximal et minimal, les extrémités du corps des cylindres intermédiaires font saillie vers l'extérieur au-delà des extrémités des cylindres d'appui, ce qui permet d'obtenir un laminoir à six étages d'une rigidité longitudinale particulièrement élevée.
