With this apparatus it is possible to activate a catching apparatus (3, 23) or a car brake (2, 22) which is mounted on the lift car (1, 21) if excess speed is detected in an upward or downward direction of travel or if there is uncontrolled movement of the lift car (1, 21). Activation is via a cage (6, 26) of connecting rods, by means of upper or lower connecting rods (5, 25; 7, 27) the cage (6, 26) of connecting rods transmitting a relative movement which is executed by a mechanical or electromagnetic monitoring device from the monitoring device to the connecting rods (5, 25; 7, 27). An upper and lower sliding connection (8, 28; 7, 27) serves as a connection between the cage (6, 26) of connecting rods and the upper and lower connecting rods (5, 25; 7, 27), transmits tensile forces and activates the catching apparatus (3) or the car brake (2) depending on whether the relative movement is upwards or downwards. <IMAGE>

Mit dieser Vorrichtung ist es möglich, eine Fangvorrichtung (3, 23) oder eine auf der Aufzugskabine (1, 21) aufgebaute Kabinenbremse (2, 22) auszulösen, wenn eine Übergeschwindigkeit in abwärts- oder in aufwärtsgerichteter Fahrtrichtung festgestellt wird, oder wenn eine unkontrollierte Bewegung der Aufzugskabine (1, 21) stattfindet. Die Auslösung erfolgt über einen Zugstangenkäfig (6, 26), durch obere oder untere Zugstangen (5, 25; 7, 27), wobei der Zugstangenkäfig 6, 26) eine durch eine mechanische oder elektromagnetische Überwachungseinrichtung ausgeführte Relativbewegung von der Überwachungseinrichtung auf die Zugstangen (5, 25; 7, 27) überträgt.Als Verbindung zwischen dem Zugstangenkäfig (6, 26) und den oberen und den unteren Zugstangen (5, 25; 7, 27) dient eine obere und eine untere, Zugkräfte übertragende Gleitverbindung (8, 28; 7, 27), welche je nachdem ob eine abwärtsgerichtete oder eine aufwärtsgerichtete Relativbewegung stattfindet, die Fangvorrichtung (3) oder die Kabinenbremse (2) auslöst. <IMAGE>
