A bridge element for crossing gaps by vehicles and a system for placing a bridge over the gaps to be crossed. The element is characterised in that it includes locking means comprising at least one pair of locking pins (11, 12) in one piece respectively with a liftable access projection (8) and a central hollow (7) of the bridge, extending longitudinally to the central hollow (7) along the same axis in the locked position of the access projection (8) and two components forming jaws (13) enclosing two heads (15, 16) opposite the two locking pins (11,12). La présente invention concerne une structure de travure pour le franchissement de brèches par des véhicules et un système de dépose d'une travure au-dessus des brèches à franchir. La structure de travure est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend des moyens de verrouillage comprenant au moins une paire d'axes de verrouillage (11, 12) solidaires respectivement d'un bec d'accès relevable (8) et d'un caisson central (7) de la travure en s'étendant longitudinalement au caisson central (7) suivant le même axe en position verrouillée du bec d'accès (8) et deux organes formant mâchoire (13) enserrant deux têtes (15, 16) en vis-à-vis des deux axes de verrouillage (11, 12). La présente invention trouve application notamment dans le domaine du génie militaire. <IMAGE>
