Abstract (en)

This crash barrier is remarkable in that it comprises modular units (E) hinged together at their ends and fixed to supporting posts (2), each modular unit comprising a sleeve (1) shaped as a cylinder, or having the appearance of the latter, hollow internally to receive a central core (3) to stiffen it which forms an insert and has sufficient elastic deformation capacity to absorb shocks, the core projecting from the sleeve at its ends (3.1, 3.2) and being fixed to shaped flanges (4, 5) positioned and centred at the end of the sleeve, the flanges being arranged to allow them to be tied together and fixed to posts. <IMAGE>

Cette glissière est remarquable en ce qu'elle est constituée par des éléments modulaires (E) articulés entre eux à leurs extrémités et fixés sur des poteaux supports (2), chaque élément modulaire comprenant un manchon (1) ayant la forme d'un rondin ou présenter l'aspect de ce dernier creux intérieurement pour recevoir une âme centrale (3) de rigidification formant insert et ayant une capacité de déformation élastique suffisante pour l'absorption de chocs, ladite âme débordant par ses extrémités (3.1-3.2) du manchon et étant fixée à des flasques profilés (4.5) disposés et centrés en bout du manchon, lesdits flasques étant aménagés pour permettre leur chaînage et leur fixation sur les poteaux. <IMAGE>
