A hoisting device (5) which is driven by a three-phase asynchronous motor (4) having a squirrel-cage rotor is intended to be driven with a variable lifting speed from a single-phase or multi-phase AC network (1). This is possible as a result of a voltage intermediate-circuit converter (2) which is supplied on the network side from the single-phase or multi-phase AC network (1) and, on the load side, supplies a three-phase network (3) to which the asynchronous motor (4) is connected. The frequency of the three-phase network (3), and hence also the lifting speed of the hoisting device, can be higher than the frequency of the single-phase or multi-phase AC network (1) and the lifting speed resulting therefrom. Provided between the three-phase network (3) and the voltage intermediate-circuit converter (2) is a regulator (6) which limits the maximum frequency in a load-dependent manner. <IMAGE>

Ein von einem Drehstrom-Asynchronmotor (4) mit Kurzschlußläufer angetriebenes Hebezeug (5) soll aus einem ein- oder mehrphasigen Wechselstromnetz (1) mit variabler Hubgeschwindigkeit betrieben werden. Möglich wird dies durch einen Spannungszwischenkreisumrichter (2), der netzseitig aus dem ein- oder mehrphasigen Wechselstromnetz (1) gespeist ist und lastseitig ein Drehstromnetz (3) speist, mit dem der Asynchronmotor (4) verbunden ist. Die Frequenz des Drehstromnetzes (3), und damit auch die Hubgeschwindigkeit des Hebezeugs, kann höher liegen als die Frequenz des ein- oder mehrphasigen Wechselstromnetzes (1) und die daraus resultierende Hubgeschwindigkeit. Zwischen dem Drehstromnetz (3) und dem Spannungszwischenkreisumrichter (2) ist ein Regler (6) vorgesehen, der lastabhängig die maximale Frequenz begrenzt. <IMAGE>
