[origin: EP0544088A1] A device for threading a paper web in rotary printing machines consists in that, according to the invention, an advantageously square guide piece (1), a substantially C-shaped guide channel and drive stations (100, 101, 102) for moving the guide piece are provided, and the C-shaped channel (20) serves for receiving and for guiding the guide piece and is mounted on the frame of the printing machine between the drive stations, the guide piece being slightly longer than the spacing between the different drive stations, and in that the forward movement of the guide piece is caused by the displacement of a slide which has pressing-on rollers (42, 42', 46, 46') which alternately clamp and release the guide piece. According to the invention, the device for threading a paper web consists in that a pair of pressing-on rollers prevents a reverse movement of the guide piece. Use in the threading of a continuously unwinding paper web in a rotary printing machine. <IMAGE>
