Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a metallic foam. A metal melt is introduced into a channel enclosed by axial walls and is mixed with a gas in the channel. The metal foam forming in the channel as a result is discharged through the discharging aperture of the channel for further processing. The invention permits the manufacture of metal foam bodies with predefined dimensions and predetermined profiles, the device for producing the metallic foam being only small in size. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung eines Metallschaumes. Eine Metallschmelze wird in einen durch axiale Wände umschlossenen Kanal eingeführt und in dem Kanal mit einem Gas versetzt. Der dabei sich in dem Kanal bildende Metallschaum wird durch die Abführöffnung des Kanals zur weiteren Verarbeitung abgeführt. Durch die Erfindung lassen sich Metallschaumkörper mit definierten Abmessungen und vorgegebenen Profilen fertigen, wobei die Vorrichtung zur Herstellung des Metallschaumes nur geringe Abmessungen aufweist. <IMAGE>
