[origin: EP0544614A1] The invention relates to a process and to an apparatus for carrying out the process for securing the roving end, torn off during the automatic bobbin change on roving machines (1) between the bobbin package and the press finger, to the package of the full roving bobbin (5). Previous practical solutions were sometimes very complicated and not functionally reliable. It is therefore proposed that at least the last turn (88) of the roving end located on the bobbin (5) be brought, over at least a part region of its circumference, into a releasable adhesive bond with at least one adjacent turn via an additional means. This can be achieved by applying an adhesive by means of a spray gun (8) in a predefined region of the roving end. <IMAGE>
