[origin: WO9203663A1] A device (2) for use in securing, to a piece of furniture which comprises a horizontal panel (6) having an edge face which butts against a major face of a vertical panel (8), a member for supporting the weight of the piece of furniture, the device (2) comprising a base (12) having on its underside a mounting for, or at least a part of, said member, the upper side of the base (12) being adapted to engage in and support said horizontal panel, and said base (12) being provided with one part of a two part securing means, the other part of said securing means being adapted for engagement in said major face of said vertical panel (8), said securing means being operable to draw said base towards said vertical panel (8) whereby in use to both secure said base (12) to the vertical panel (8) and to rigidly secure said horizontal panel (6) in position relative to said vertical panel (8).

Dispositif (2) servant à fixer à un meuble comportant un panneau horizontal (6) dont une face latérale se trouve en butée contre une face principale d'un panneau vertical (8), un élément destiné à porter ledit meuble. Ledit dispositif (2) comporte une base (12) dont le dessous possède un raccord pour au moins une partie dudit élément, et dont le dessus est apte à s'engager dans ledit panneau horizontal et à le porter. Ladite base (12) est munie de l'une des parties d'un moyen de fixation constitué de deux parties, tandis que l'autre partie est apte à s'engager dans ladite face principale dudit panneau vertical (8). Ledit moyen de fixation peut servir à rapprocher ladite base du panneau vertical (8) afin à la fois de fixer ladite base (12) au panneau vertical (8) et de bloquer ledit panneau horizontal (6) en position par rapport audit panneau vertical (8).
