An ironing-board cover, consisting of one or more layers of natural material, comprises: a specific number of layers (10, 11) consisting of natural fibre; connecting means for fastening the cover (1, 14) to an ironing board (15), one side (12) of the cover (1, 14) being rough in order to increase the static friction between the same side (12) and a bearing surface of the ironing board (15); a quilting seam with a thread (13) of natural fibre for connecting the layers (10, 11), which causes the side (12) of the cover (1) to be roughened, this side (12) touching the bearing surface of the board (15); a tape (4) for connecting the edges of the cover (1, 14), which is sewn to the layers (10, 11); a cord (9) which is wrapped in the tape (4) and which, when it is pulled, is capable of positioning the side edges of the cover (1, 14) in such a way that the edges of the board (15) are wrapped. <IMAGE>

Ein Bügelbrettüberzug, der aus einer oder mehreren Schichten aus Naturstoff besteht, umfaßt: eine bestimmte Anzahl von aus Naturfaser bestehenden Schichten (10,11); Verbindungsmittel zur Befestigung des Überzugs (1,14) an einem Bügelbrett (15), wobei eine Seite (12) des Überzugs (1, 14) zur Vergrößerung der Ruhereibung zwischen derselben Seite (12) und einer Auflagefläche des Bügelbrettes (15) rauh ist.; eine Steppnaht mit einem Faden (13) aus Naturfaser zur Verbindung der Schichten (10,11), die die Seite (12) des Überzugs (1) rauh werden läßt, wobei diese Seite (12) die Auflagefläche des Brettes (15) berührt; ein Band (4) zur Verbindung der Ränder des Überzugs (1,14) das an die Schichten (10,11) genäht ist; eine Schnur (9), die vom Band (4) umhüllt ist und die, wenn sie gezogen wird, geeignet ist die Seitenränder des Überzugs (1.14) so zu positionieren daß die Ränder des Brettes (15) umhüllt sind. <IMAGE>
