Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0545189A1] In a displacement machine for compressible media a spiral shaped feed chamber is arranged in a fixed housing (7b). A spiral shaped displacement body assigned to the feed chamber is held on a disc-shaped rotor drivable eccentrically in relation to the housing in such a way that during operation each of its points performs a circular movement defined by the peripheral walls of the feed chamber. The rotor with its main shaft (24) is driven by way of a pulley (19). Between the main shaft (24) and an input shaft (21) provided with the pulley (19) an adjustable magnetic clutch (30) is arranged, a solenoid (31) being arranged fixed in terms of position in a housing cover (7c) and an armature ring (32) being connected rotationally fixed to the main shaft (24). The air gap (44) between the armature ring (32) and a retaining disc (33) arranged on the input shaft (21) is adjustable. <IMAGE>
