[origin: EP0545191A1] In a displacement machine for compressible media a plurality of spiral shaped feed chambers (11a, 11b), arranged in a fixed housing, lead from a radially outer inlet (12a, 12b) to a radially inner outlet (13). A displacement body assigned to the feed chambers essentially comprises a disc (2) with spiral shaped strips (3a, 3b) arranged perpendicular on both sides. This eccentrically driven displacement body is composed of a magnesium alloy. During operation it performs with each of its points a circular movement defined by the peripheral walls of the feed chamber. The webs (45, 46) defining the feed chambers (11a, 11b) in the housing are made integral with the housing and the entire housing is manufactured from the same magnesium based alloy as the displacement body (2, 3, 4, 5) or one similar to it. <IMAGE>
