Abstract (en)
The invention provides a method which makes surfaces of parts of "medium" or "high density fibreboard" that are not part of the main surfaces, suitable for the application of paint, by causing the pores to be sealed by means of an ironing member (1,2) which has been heated to 250-350 DEG C and is pressed against said surface with a pressure force of 5-25 kg/cm<2>. The invention also comprises a device equipped with hold-down rollers (5), one or more ironing surfaces (1,2) and hold-down members (6), for the application of the method. <IMAGE>
