Abstract (en)

In the procedure and device according to the invention for locating and grasping a roving 2, especially at its end, in a textile machine, the roving 2 being placed in a support 1 capable of rotating about its vertical axis, and having a free end 4 hanging freely outside the support 1, the support 1 is rotated about its axis until the free end 4 of the roving 2 occupies a predetermined angular position relative to this axis, the free end 4 of the roving is moved radially away from the said support 1 in order to bring it into the effective range of gripping fingers 14 belonging to a gripping member 17 movable for the transfer of the said free end 4, and the closing of the gripping fingers 14 is controlled in order to grasp the free end 4 of the roving when the latter is in the moved-away position. <IMAGE>

Abstract (fr)

Dans le procédé et le dispositif selon l'invention pour la recherche et la préhension d'un ruban 2, notamment par son extrémité, dans une machine textile, le ruban 2 étant placé dans un support 1 susceptible de tourner autour de son axe vertical et présentant un bout libre 4 pendant librement à l'extérieur du support 1, on fait tourner le support 1 autour de son axe jusqu'à ce que le bout libre 4 du ruban 2 occupe, par rapport à cet axe, une position angulaire prédéterminée, on écarte radialement le bout libre 4 du ruban par rapport audit support 1 pour l'amener dans la zone d'action de doigts de pinçage 14 appartenant à un organe préhenseur 17 mobile de transfert dudit bout libre 4, et on commande la fermeture des doigts de pinçage 14 pour saisir le bout libre 4 du ruban dans la position écartée de celui-ci. <IMAGE>
