[origin: EP0545825A1] This straightening machine performs the continuous straightening of a parallel-flanged girder. The girder (P) passes through the longitudinal straightening means and through a stand (14) comprising two rolls (30, 32) whose axes are substantially coplanar and perpendicular to the direction of passage of the girder. The journals (34) of the rolls are mounted in swivel-joint rolling-bearing elements (36) carried by bearings (38) of the stand. Means for positioning the rolls (30, 32) are fitted in order to make an angle between the two axes of the rolls so as to cause these two rolls to interact respectively with the two flanges of the girder (P) so as to correct parallelism defects in these flanges. <IMAGE>
