Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a plate-carrying sleeve for a flexographic printing cylinder. The subject of the invention is a plate-carrying sleeve for a flexographic printing cylinder (1), equipped on its periphery with orifices (5) for the conveyance of compressed air for the purpose of mounting the sleeve on the cylinder, characterised in that it consists of: - an inner tubular sleeve (6) made of slightly radially expandable material, - an outer tubular sleeve (8) carrying a working surface made of a material having great lightness, high mechanical resistance and high dimensional stability and of large thickness, making it possible to obtain by grinding a large number of different outlines, and - an intermediate sleeve (7) made of an elastic material capable of absorbing the expansions and deformations of the inner sleeve (6), the said sleeves being fixed to one another by all suitable means. The invention is used on flexographic printing machines. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un manchon porte-clichés pour cylindre d'impression flexographique. L'objet de l'invention est un manchon porte-clichés pour cylindre d'impression flexographique (1) muni à sa périphérie d'orifices (5) d'envoi d'air sous pression en vue du montage du manchon sur le cylindre, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué : d'un manchon tubulaire interne (6) en matériau légèrement expansible radialement, d'un manchon tubulaire externe (8) porteur d'une surface de travail en un matériau offrant de grandes légèreté, résistance mécanique et stabilité dimensionnelle et d'une épaisseur importante, permettant d'obtenir par rectification un grand nombre de développements différents, et d'un manchon intermédiaire (7) en un matériau élastique susceptible d'absorber les expansions, déformations du manchon interne (6), lesdits manchons étant solidarisés entre eux par tous moyens appropriés.
