Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9205104A1] The invention concerns a process and device for cleaning the closing heads of a device for sealing containers with crown corks in which the closing head has a ram (1) guided in a drilling to press the bottoms of the crown corks against the mouth of a container to be sealed and the ram can be moved in relation to the closing head against the force of a spring device (4) arranged in an inner chamber (9) of the closing head, whereby an intermediate space between the ram and the wall of the guide drilling is at least partly rinsed with a rinsing agent. In the process of the invention, the rinsing agent is taken through a flow aperture (10) communicating with the inner chamber (9), rinsing the inner chamber (9) with the spring device (4) and the space between the ram and the wall of the guide aperture, thus ensuring complete cleaning of all parts of the closing head likely to be soiled.
