Ignition device for internal-combustion engines with secondary winding, separated from the primary winding, of an ignition coil and with a sensor in the sparkplug circuit, the peak value of the ignition current being stored during each ignition in a peak value rectifier and being subsequently processed to form a value of the dwell time of the primary circuit which is kept constant by means of a set value control in order to compensate fluctuations and changes in the circuit due to contamination or ageing. The dwell time is determined below a limit value of the engine speed in a cylinder-selective fashion and determined above this limit value for one specific cylinder only and also used for all the other cylinders. <IMAGE>

Zündeinrichtung für Brennkraftmaschinen mit von der Primärwicklung getrennter Sekundärwicklung einer Zündspule und mit einem Sensor im Zündkerzen-Stromkreis, wobei der Spitzenwert des Zündstromes bei jeder Zündung in einem Spitzenwert-Gleichrichter gespeichert und anschließend zu einem Wert der Schließdauer des Primärstromkreises verarbeitet wird, der mittels einer Sollwert-Regelung konstant gehalten wird, um Streuungen und verschmutzungs- oder altersbedingte Änderungen im Zündkreis auszugleichen. Die Schließdauer wird unterhalb eines Motordrehzahl-Grenzwertes zylinderselektiv ermittelt und oberhalb dieses Grenzwertes nur für einen bestimmten Zylinder ermittelt und für alle übrigen Zylinder mitverwendet. <IMAGE>
