Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH05248331A] PURPOSE: To reduce occupation of memory locations of a microprocessor so as to eliminate unnecessary long monitoring duration in any case by adjusting the monitoring duration as a function of the closing duration to be monitored. CONSTITUTION: A separate comparing register R2 is also loaded during calculating duration Ax. The register R2 is started at the end of the counting of a register R1, i.e., at the start of a closing duration SDx at a time C. The execution time of the register itself determined by an internal clock of a microprocessor is adjusted to correspond to, for example, a monitoring duration Udx which is 1.25 times of the closing duration SDx. In the event that a primary current circuit is still supposed to be closed at a time F at the end of the counting of the register R2, the current circuit is opened at that time to effect ignition.
