Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0547305A2] The present invention relates to a process for the dry pressing of a granular or powdery material, to a device suitable to be used to perform pressing and to a pressing apparatus which comprises the device. The process according to the invention comprises a step during which the depth of the mold is changed and the upper surface of the material contained in the mold is leveled simultaneously. The device comprises a base, a body for supporting the lower mold and a plurality of hydraulic cylinders and pistons which are supplied by a flow divider element. The invention allows to obtain any profile of distribution of the material in the mold, in the direction of the leveling means, so as to compensate inadequacies in distribution. <IMAGE>
