[origin: EP0547535A1] A radial fan having an intake elbow (2, 3, 7) is to be provided, in which the casing (1) with the intake elbow (2, 3, 7) is designed in an absolutely gas-tight manner, in which the interior of the intake elbow (2, 3, 7) is designed aerodynamically, and in which the casing (1) and the intake elbow (2, 3, 7) can be produced by casting.
